Vote on Election Day – 2023

The 2023 General Election is on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Polling places will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

On this day, registered voters in North Carolina may vote at their assigned polling place

This is different from early voting, where eligible individuals may choose to cast a ballot at any early voting site in their county.

There are 41 Election Day Polling Places in Rowan County.

Find your Election Day polling place by entering your information into the Voter Search and scroll down to “Your Voting Locations.”

Polling places will be open on Election Day from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Any voter in line at their assigned polling place at 7:30 p.m. will be able to vote.

The busiest times tend to be early in the morning and just before the polls close. Avoid longer lines by voting at off-peak times.

If the Election Workers cannot verify your Registration Status when you show up to vote, do not leave. Request a Provisional Ballot, and follow the instructions given to you by the Election Workers. If a voter is registered and mistakenly arrives at a location that is not their assigned voting precinct, officials inside the election site will assist you with the information you need to cast your vote at the correct place.
